The Second Annual Promontory Point Day Celebration will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023. The celebration will be three fold— including the celebration of the 86th anniversary of the opening of the park, the 120th birthday of prominent landscape architect Alfred Caldwell and the new Chicago Landmark designation. Bill Swislow leads a tour the 150+ art carvings on the limestone promenade and steps at the Point. Learn about Swislow’s research into these carvers and the history of art on the revetment.
