Hi Everyone,Here is a flyer for our upcoming program on Dirty Waters: Confessionsof Chicago's Last Harbor Boss.Author Robert J. Nelson, a third generation south-sider and longtime resident of the Highlands, was appointed by Mayor Harold Washington to clean up and modernize management of Chicago's harbors. Nelson will discuss harbor corruption and historical aspects of the Jackson Park harbors, the Coast Guard station restoration and even the south side golf courses.The program will be held at the Hyde Park Historical Society, Sunday, July 29, 2018, 2-4pm, 5529 S.
