The Hyde Park Historical Society invites you to join us for another open house.  Our continuing exhibit is:

Hyde Park in 1890, from Rascher's Atlas.  The exhibit features maps from the atlas between 51st and 59th Streets and Cottage Grove and the lakefront.

We will also have a special photo exhibit of Rosalie Villas in 1888.  Rosalie Villas, between 57th and 59th Streets on Harper Avenue is one of the earliest planned communities in Chicago.  It was developed by Rosalie Buckingham, future wife of Harry Selfridge, and architect Sol Beman, known for his design of Pullman at about the same time.
